I would find it helpful to know how my students faired in relation to the national average for each exam.

This information used to be provided in "CPC Centre News" which no longer gets published.

Can details be posted here in future when results are released?

I am concerned about the low pass rate nationally for the R2. exam. I am sure training providers are doing what they can to help candidates however candidates have reported that they are really pushed for time to complete all the questions. I also feel that we run the risk of creating a group of transport managers who are more academic than practical, and that many good practically minded transport managers will struggle to pass the exam.

What do we think

Hi Brian,

I sat (and passed) the June 2012 exam in preparation to teach the subject matter in the future.

I think the key advice for the R2 exam which worked for me was to:

Read the whole scenario once right through

Read all the questions

Identify the questions I was comfortable with, complete them and then tackle the 'harder' ones

Attempt all questions

This approach gave me 'extra' time to work on the more complex questions (e.g vehicle costings), and to switch to another if I hit a brick wall.

The other key piece of advice I was given was the classic 'RTFQ' - highlight key words such as list, explain, describe etc

The overall time of 2 hours I agree was tight to be able to complete all the questions however there are points to be gained from having a go at all of them.

Regards

Matt

Hi

Would it be possible to get the individual results in the multi choice paper. This would be good not only for people who did not reach the standard but those who did, to see how well they did.

Another vote here for this,

Unfortunatly i have failed on 2 attempts at the multiple choice paper - i would like to know which subject i am struggling with and/or how far off the mark i am!

Thanks
