Exciting new GCE Biology AS INSET: Conservation and Taxonomy at Wakehurst Place
An exciting OCR INSET course for teachers delivering AS Level Biology! A practical day at Wakehurst Place, in association with the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, designed to support the delivery and attainment of the F212 module on the elements of conservation, taxonomy and pylogeny. This course is ideal for NQTs or those teachers who wish to build their confidence and strengths in this area of the specification.
The full day course will include behind the seeds tour of the Millenium seed bank, conservation of biodiversity and CITES resources, an in situ and ex situ garden tour, phylogeny, taxonomy for teenagers and the opportunity to network and share ideas for best practice.
