Bumping this back to the top of the list.
Details of this year's event can be found in the link to OCR Training in the first post above. We have workshops covering AS and A2 Media Studies, speakers from the media industry and workshops introducing our new A Level Film Studies qualification.
I've also posted a flyer in the resources section with more details of the event. We will also be launching a Media Conference 2012 blog site in the near future which will provide more details on the event.

If you have any questions on the event please post them here.

Pete and Rob - Not sure if this has been raised before (supect it has) but is there any chance that such a conference could be arranged somewhere outside London one year? I realise availability of speakers is an issue but costs of travelling in and out of the capital are horrendous and there are places that are easier to get to methinks. I can even offer a beautiful venue in sunny Gloucestershire, five mins from M5 with mainline railway station a two-minute walk away for free if you like! Loads of media types in the Cotswolds too for speakers!

We'd like to, but it is enormously expensive to put on at this scale and from experience we know that the only way we can get the numbers is by running it in London. Most INSET we try to offer outside London fails to recruit enough to break even and often has to be cancelled due to lack of interest. The MEA is attempting to roll out a local programme with the aim of building up to bigger events in other parts.
