Next academic year we may have 1 student studying GCSE Portugese J736.  Are there any centres near Todmorden (i.e. in Calderdale, Rochdale or Kirklees area) that sit this qualification? We are looking for a centre to host the A832 Portugese Speaking Test for this student.

As with the post above, I am also hoping to enter pupils for GCSE Portuguese J736. Are there any centres or members of teaching staff near Salford (Manchester and Bolton included) who could help? Especially when completing the Speaking Test.

Thank you

Hello Alicia

Strangely enough I have just joined the forums with exactly the same question.  Last Saturday I found a partial answer to my question in an Oxford bookshop - a series published by LIDEL in Portugal but they seem even handed about topics from Brazil, Mozambique and other lusophone countries.  The author is Ana Tavares.  I've found the 2nd book (livro do aluno e livro do professor) and it is helping with my AS Portuguese group who are native speakers but have forgotten grammar rules etc.  Have you found anything else helpful?  Lyria (Coventry)

Sorry I'm not near Salford but would like to say I will run the GCSE Portuguese speaking exam here in Coventry in the first week of April - Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School and Language College if it's any help to anyone within striking distance.  I have two candidates.

We have two students who lived in Portugal and attended Portuguese school. I am looking for a centre in Oldham/Tameside /Rochdale which can accommodate a speaking exam?
