Dear all

The Research Division at Cambridge Assessment is carrying out a project which looks at effective ways of assessing speaking in Modern Foreign Languages. The outcomes of the study will gather information about best practice and will help to inform OCR support materials for teachers around the future implementation of speaking assessment.

We are looking for teachers who have taught the OCR GCSE Controlled Assessment specifications in French, German or Spanish speaking (A702/A712/A722) to take part in a two-hour focus group to talk about their experiences.

For your participation in the session we will cover teacher release costs to your Centre, and travel expenses (or we will pay for your time if you are not teaching on the day of the meeting).

The focus groups will take place at the following venues on the dates specified below:

Thursday 26th January - Central London (10:30 - 12:30)

Saturday 28th January - Cambridge (10:30 - 12:30)

Wednesday 1st February - Nottingham (10:30 - 12:30)

Friday 3rd February - Central London (10:30 - 12:30)

If you are interested in participating please contact Martin Johnson at

ResearchProgrammes@cambridgeassessment.org.uk with your contact details and indicating which meeting you would prefer to attend.

We hope to see you soon.

Caroline
