Regional meetings
What are your feelings regarding regional meetings, based at lead centres to provide advice/ training with regards to delivery of these Qualifications?
Would these 1/2 day or 3 hour events be useful?
Would your centre be willing to host such an event?
Share your thoughts.
Thanks

Yes I think the big problem is the budget cut backs. My school is not prepared to provide cover for teachers unless the course is essential. Also the cost of attending the courses are also and issue.

Could the sessions be twilight so no cover reqired?

These sessions could be twilight or even 1/2 day weekend sessions, it all depends on demand in any one area. Also, if a centre was willing to host a session, this in itself would reduce the cost of attendance for centres.
Therefore I would be interested to find out if any centres would be happy to host an event. I have discussed possible ideas linked to training and support with the Chief and she is very supportive of any suggestions that would support centres.

Yes. Definately.
We appreciate the issues that are facing centres currently and would like to accomodate and support centres in their delivery of OCR qualifications in a more centre focused manner.
I would be interested in Lincolnshire and will be delivering the OCR A Level at 2 different schools. The inset training days I have been on were brilliant and it would be great if more people had access to that sort of support.
Oops ignore last posting - it came to my phone and I didn't realise it was for QCF.
Hi all
If you are interested in regional meetings and would like further information with regards to arranging them in your area, please contact your regional account manager. You can find out who your regional account manager is by logging into the OCR website and clicking on the Regional Account managers link in the table on the right of popular searches. They will be able to arrange regional events and ensure that the right OCR staff and Chiefs are available to support the events.
OCR is here to support you and your centre to deliver OCR Qualifications effectively.
