OCR GCSE English Conference 2017

'Lifting Language Off The Page'

Join us on Friday 16th June for our exciting GCSE English conference at Shakespeare’s Globe.

We’ll be running a range of workshops to help you to improve your students’ performance in key reading and writing skills:

  • Curriculum and assessment specialist, Peter Thomas will share best practice and approaches for tackling unseen texts
  • Get your students writing for success with Helen Rees Bidder, OCR Principal Examiner
  • Stop students stressing about Shakespeare! Learn how to manage closed text Shakespeare exams with a Globe Education Practitioner
  • Theo Maniski will be grabbing hold of grammar at Key Stage 3-4.

  Unmissable for GCSE English teachers

The day will also begin with an unforgettable session with acclaimed poet Simon Armitage, as well as a tour of the Globe theatre.

This year’s conference is a must for any GCSE English teacher regardless of the specification or exam board you are teaching.

This event is £199.00 and includes a set of essential course materials, refreshments throughout the day and a standing ticket for the Globe’s evening performance of Tristan and Yseult.

Book your place now via the OCR CPD hub.
